As part of the Dorset Decarbonisation scheme and Salix funding, Lowe & Oliver were tasked with installing a new Air Source Heat Pump at the centre. The ASHP was designed to take on 85% of the heat demand for the building with the existing gas fired boilers being used as a top up when required. The works included a new Building Management System, extensive pipework modification in the plantroom, a new dedicated heating circuit which was installed outside of the opening hours to minimalize any public disturbance.
